New to the office this week is this little gadget – a Colourimeter.
We often find that the same colours can display slightly differently across multiple screens depending on the amount of light being absorbed. For example, a shade of pink that we use in a design may appear as a completely different colour to you when viewed on a different monitor.
A colourimeter provides precise, high quality, on-screen colour, calibrating monitors so that colours look the same on every screen, in any light. By investing in this device, your Goodguys are ensuring that we accurately capture the colour you want, which is an exact match both on screen and print!
We were enjoying the retail therapy so much that we’ve also added to the office these RAL colour books!
When using a colour for a design, we match it as closely as possible to one of the colours in the RAL book. For example, if we used a pastel turquoise as the colour scheme for your website, we would match this to the closest RAL colour – in this instance RAL 6034. We do this so that if you wanted to, you could paint your premises in the exact same colour, and maintain your brand’s colour scheme; you’ll know for future reference exactly what colours your brand visuals are made up of.
Here at CRE8, the client is at the heart of everything that we do. Your Marketing Goodguys want to provide you with the best possible service, and we’re more than happy to make investments along the way which help us to do that.
