As ever, 2017 has seen a great range of projects cross our desks. From design, web development and content to fully-outsourced marketing projects, we’ve been busy producing work to a fantastic standard for local, national and international clients.
We’re really proud of everything we do, but here are a few of our highlights from the year so you can see what we’ve been up to!
Going global with Omnium International
We’ve been working with Omnium International, an exceptional firm of Quantity Surveyors based in the UAE, for around a year and a half now and our relationship with them has gone from strength to strength. Omnium asked us to design, write, build and launch a new website for them, and after months of hard work, both here and in Omnium’s offices, we were delighted to launch the website on 27th July 2017!
Since then we’ve still been working closely with Omnium on wider aspects of their business through our Marketing Manager 360 services, ensuring that the brand is reinforced and properly-presented throughout all communications.
Working with Omnium has been such an exciting challenge, partnering with an established and well-respected client whilst taking our work and skills into a new market. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with the team!

Creating a brand for Lucence Signage
When Lucence’s Managing Director Alan approached us, it was with a fantastic product – and not much else!
An experienced signmaker, Leigh-based Alan had developed his own illuminated signage system. He asked us to create a brand ready to take to market, including development of brand name and visuals, written content and the design and build of a bespoke website.
During our consultancy phase, we really got under the skin of Lucence to understand its values and what makes it unique. Over several months, the brand became more real and the website was launched in August. Our work has created Lucence as a business, distinct from Alan’s other projects and allowing him to market his excellent product.
We’re delighted to continue to work with Lucence through Marketing Manager 360, taking the brand and the product to the target audience. Our team delivers comprehensive marketing support to this new business we’re proud to have played a part in.

Compliant school website for St John’s Mosley Common CE Primary School
Having already established a good relationship with St John’s Mosley Common, the team approached us looking for a school website designed both to meet the DfE’s statutory requirements and to encourage parents to visit the school and apply for places.
St John’s needed the design to be clear, easy to use, fully-responsive to mobile and tablet and incorporating the school’s bold and colourful brand visuals. The finished result contained all the details necessary to communicate the school’s values, daily life and essential information, but it also appealed to visitors with a bright colour scheme and layout.
Our team worked with St John’s not only the website’s design and build but also with continuing support on the requirements of the DfE, ensuring that the website and its contents are fully compliant.
A perfect partnership for Leigh Sports Village’s wedding brochure
We’ve supported Leigh Sports Village throughout 2017 with the design of printed and online material to promote the venue’s corporate and commercial offers. Earlier in the year, the Sports Village asked us to create a 16-page brochure showcasing its wedding packages and why Leigh Sports Village makes for a unique and great-value wedding celebration venue.
We worked closely with the client so we could understand the target audience for the brochure. Our design maintained the consistency of Leigh Sports Village’s brand with themes softened to suit the style of the brochure’s target audience. Imagery was selected to complement the design, producing a finished result that both we and Leigh Sports Village are proud of!
Building a stronger Forward Together Teaching School Alliance
Our team has supported Forward Together TSA for a number of years as a Marketing Manager 360 project, delivering marketing, operational and administrative services which have transformed the organisation. From email marketing and literature design, print and distribution, to trainee teacher recruitment campaigns, management of key stakeholder relationships and administration of training course bookings and finances, our team is closely involved with every aspect of the Teaching School’s services.
During 2017, in particular we continued to develop Forward Together’s website with the addition of a PHP-driven ‘Course Finder’ function, and we further developed other sections with additional content, better user experience and updated artwork.
The Teaching School’s annual brochure was designed, written, printed and distributed following several months’ preparation of the training programme, including liaison with training venues, speakers and Forward Together’s leadership team to design a programme which would be of interest to schools.
We were proud to host the Teaching School’s first Leadership Conference in November, booking the highly sought-after Professor Guy Claxton to deliver an inspirational presentation to school leaders. CRE8 worked on all aspects of the Conference, from organising the speakers and logistics to advertising and booking in delegates, and – importantly – attending on the day to host the event and ensure it ran smoothly. The Conference was really successful, welcoming over 50 decision-makers from more than 30 schools for a day of learning and networking, as well as 6 commercial partners who exhibited with us.
Along with distribution of 10,000 flyers and wider promotion of the School Direct trainee teacher programme, management of enquiries and other administrative functions, Forward Together has kept the team busy!
The Teaching Shool is a whole team effort; from strategy and management to creative delivery and administration, we’re all involved and incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved.
