Wigan BBC is a friendly and informal group of business people from the Wigan and Leigh area. The group, which meets once a month, encourages the support and sharing of knowledge between organisations of all sizes across the Borough. Each meeting features a guest speaker, networking and opportunity for guests to discuss their own experiences.
True Colours CIC (a non-profit based in Leigh) is a newly created local organisation supporting adults with autism. We were requested to design and deliver a new website design which would showcase their achievements.

Following on from our involvement with their Y11 mock interview day, I’ve been back to Westleigh High School to give some students a bit of extra help with putting together personal statements on college and job applications.
Facing a blank piece of paper and having to write about yourself can be quite daunting, so I took along some tips to guide students on how to structure a statement and some content ideas. A personal statement is essentially a marketing pitch for yourself so it needs to convey a positive image, be well-composed and persuasive. Preparing something similar?
